CUDA contest eligibility for F-1 students

Hi,

We are foreign F-1 students doing PhD in California.
For tax purposes we come under NON-RESIDENT ALIENS category and
we pay tax as much as any other PhD student. :)

Are we eligible for the CUDA programming contest ?

Note the official rule says that the contest is “OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”.

Thanks !!

yes you are,

since the F visa makes you a legal resident, you also have a driver’s id or id in general, or?

since you get these only if you are a valid resident. for example i’m on a J1 in california and i’m a legal resident here, but not a citizen.
