I recently installed new drivers 195.36.15 in my linux 64bit system and kept my CUDA 2.3 runtime library. I noticed that the particles demo with the runtime uses all my CPU power and lags a great deal. I don’t remember if this also occurred before I upgraded to these newer drivers, but I know that the particles demo ran fine when logged into my Windows XP 32bit setup.

Will there be issues with these new CUDA drivers 3.0 running the CUDA Runtime version 2.3?

This ought to work fine. You can use a newer driver with an older toolkit, just not the other way around.
