cuda-gdb in a machine with one gtx280

The cuda-gdb documentation says that x11 is disabled on a GPU board running a program to be debugged.

I have a gtx280 in the single graphics slot in my machine.

There is a graphics chip, not NVIDIA, on the mother board.

Is it possible to have the computer display a screen using the on board graphics,
leaving the gtx280 for CUDA debugging?

I think that if you load the NVIDIA driver via the script in the release notes and your xorg.conf doesn’t contain any reference to the NV driver (and you just load another driver on another display), you’ll be fine.
