We are currently developing a transcoder for H.264 to H.265 HD videos. It will be used for HLS Streaming.
Right now, we are using NVIDIA GEFORCE 1660, We are planning to buy NVIDIA QUADRO RTX 6000. But before we proceed with the purchase we would like to know if you have benchmark tests for the number of HD videos it can support?
We are thinking of transcoding 100 streams of H.264 HD videos 8Mbps bitrate to H.265 HD videos with multiple output stream bitrates of 4Mbps, 2Mbps, and 512kbps.
• Do you think NVIDIA QUADRO RTX 6000 Can handle 100 streams using the 3 video profiles (H.265 4Mbps, 2Mbps, and 512kbps)?
• And how many QUADRO RTX 6000 do you think we need to achieve the desired transcoding capabilities?
I will be using NVENC and NVDEC API for the FFMPEG application.
