Custom board with only hdmi0 Port conected

I have a custom board to tx2, but its has only hdmi0 conected, the hdmi1 Port is unconneted on designer. So, the l4t kernel for devkit does’t enable screen. Is there a Guide How to change the drivers (and/or other things) from hdmi1 to hdmi0?

In brief, you need to download the kernel source from download center, modify the dts and then re-compile the device tree blob.

if I compile the kernel under directory “Linux_for_Tegra/sources/kernel/kernel-4.9/” the dts files under directory “Linux_for_Tegra/sources/hardware/nvidia/platform/t18x/quill/kernel-dts” will be compiled?
Is there any tutorial to work with dts files (in general)?

If I understand your problem correctly then I believe we were faced with the same issue with our custom carrier boards that have dual HDMI outputs. The problem we encountered was that the monitor would not startup at all after flashing the standard DTB from SDK Manager. This isn’t really a surprise since the DTB from SDK Manager is for the developer kit baseboard and not for the D3 hardware. Our solution is to flash our DTB after flashing with SDK Manager.

Yes, HDMI isn’t working on ours carrier board, but We have only HDMI0 (DP0) connected, the HDMI1 (DP1) is connected to nothing, so I don’t have any display working in my board :-(

D3_growe, how do you compile the dtb? I’m trying to replace the contents of tegra186-quill-p3310-1000-c03-00-base.dts whit you dts, let the line "#include “tegra186-quill-p3310-1000-a00-00-base.dts” to get references.
But I’m facing whit error:

For your purposes I think you’re better off using our DTS as a reference and just pulling in a few of the HDMI specific attributes into your device tree.

If you follow the instructions in the README.md you should be able to build the d3/1.3.3 branch from GitHub. D3 has a baseboard that has dual HDMI. You’ll find many device tree files in hardware/d3 name d3-rsp*.dts. You could start reading the device tree from d3-rsp-fp[dlink-imx390.dts.

This error indicates there is a “nickname” of node called “vdd_usb2_5v” but the dtc cannot find what is the real node this nickname refer to.

Yes, the nickname is used in file tegra186-quill-p3310-1000-a00-00-base.dts and this file includes the file tegra186-quill-power-tree-p3310-1000-a00-00.dtsi and this includes the tegra186-cvb-prod-p2597-b00-p3310-1000-a00-00.dtsi, and, finally, on this file on line 283, there’s the definition of “vdd_usb2_5v”. I can’t understand why this error is happen.
