DDA PCI Pass-through L40S on a Dell PowerEdge R760 Hyper-V

I can’t get DDA PCI pass-through working for a L40S in a Dell R760 running Hyper-V in Server 2025.

I can disable and dismount the GPU from the OS, but VMs won’t start when I assign the GPU to them.

MMIO is configured per VM with -LowMemoryMappedIoSpace 3GB -HighMemoryMappedIoSpace 60GB.

pcip.sys isn’t loading at boot, so I suspect it’s a BIOS setting preventing DDA PCI pass-through.

SR-IOV, and Virtualisation Technology are enabled in BIOS. I can’t find a setting for VT for Direct I/O or Above 4G MMIO - apparently these settings don’t exist in the R760 BIOS.

I’ve tried setting the System Profile to Performance, and the Workload Profile to HPC Profile.

Does any one have any ideas?

Increase high mmio value to 128GB and try again
