Dead usb 3.0?

The full size USB port on my tegra tk1 does not seem to be working. I see that it powers on initially but after a few minutes it dies. The devices I connect to it are all working well. Is there anyway to debug if it is a hardware problem? Do you think I burnt my USB port?

One thing to check is USB autosuspend. USB is auto suspended to save power by default. This may also be effected by the type of device(s) plugged into the USB port.

You can enter this from a command line in a terminal:

$ sudo bash -c ‘echo -1 > /sys/module/usbcore/parameters/autosuspend’

To disable autosuspend at boot up time, the command usbcore.autosuspend=-1 can be appended to the file /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf.
