Deep sleep

I am interested in the deep sleep of the jetson.
I am wondering if there is a way to disable more peripherals in the deep sleep mode to reduce the power consumption in this mode.
the only ability that I am interested in is the rtc clock.

hello linus.s.gates,

may I also know what’s the power consumption you’re expected.
please check developer guide, Power Management for Jetson TX2 Series Devices.
you may also refer to Kernel Customization to disable some of the services.

Thanks for the fast replay.

I have been looking at the developer guide but couldn’t find any customisation that can be done in the deep sleep mode, am I missing something?

hello linus.s.gates,

you may delete this node, nvidia,tegra-joint_xpu_rail; in TX2’s device tree source.
this is the property for nvgpu, removing this should turn-off the GPU engines when TX2 enter sleep.

please also try include below into /etc/systemd/,
for example,

if [ "$SOCFAMILY" = "tegra186" ]; then
+ if [ -f “/sys/devices/17000000.gp10b/railgate_enable” ]; then
+ echo 0 > /sys/devices/17000000.gp10b/railgate_enable
