default values of no. of blocks and no. of threads per block what if I dont know how many threads I

Hi,

I would like to know if there is any default values of no. of blocks and no. of threads per block?
This might be particular helpful when I don’t have any idea of no. of data points in my application, and I cannot mention these parameters in Kernel Call inside <<< … >>>
