Dear sir,
I found differencies between datasheet and OEM Product Design Guide for Jetson TX1 USB3.0 port.
The USB_SS0 and USB_SS1 are assigned as below.
USB_SS0
Data Sheet : Not listed for USB_SS port (Datasheet Table 16)
* there is a description below Table 16,
“USB_SS0 interface is not available at the connector; ~”
Design Guide : USB3.0 port #1 (PDG Table 20)
USB_SS1
Data Sheet : USB3.0 #1 (Datasheet Table 16)
Design Guide : USB3.0 port #2 (PDG Table 20)
Data sheet or design guide, which one should I believe?
I read following documents:
Datasheet : DS-07224-010_v1.1
Design Guide : 20170912
I think JetsonTX1_Module_Datasheet Table 16 has many mistake.
1.USB_SS2 signal is assined PEX1 or PEX3 on this table, but there is no PEX3 signal. USB_SS1 is assined on table 14 of OEM Design Guide.
2.Description for USB_SS1_RX+, “USB3.0 #11” may be wrong, but “USB3.0 #1” may be correct.
3.A note below Table 16, there is a description USB_SS0 is used for the Gigabit Ethernet controller. But USB_SS0 is available to use USB_SS#1 on table 14 of OEM Design Guide.
As I said previously, the USB_SSx in table 16 of datasheet is the USB_SS#x in table 14 of OEM DG, regarding your list please find my comment as below:
1.USB_SS2 signal is assined PEX1 or PEX3 on this table, but there is no PEX3 signal. USB_SS1 is assined on table 14 of OEM Design Guide.
USB_SS2 is USB_SS#2 in table 14, it can be from PEX1 pins or USB_SS1 (PEX3) pins as you can see in table 14 “Jetson TX1 Pin Names”
2.Description for USB_SS1_RX+, “USB3.0 #11” may be wrong, but “USB3.0 #1” may be correct.
Yes, this is typo, should be USB3.0#1
3.A note below Table 16, there is a description USB_SS0 is used for the Gigabit Ethernet controller. But USB_SS0 is available to use USB_SS#1 on table 14 of OEM Design Guide.
This USB_SS0 is USB_SS#0 in table 14 which is used for Ethernet only.
