Detection and src-crop

• Hardware Platform Jetson Orin AGX Development Kit
• DeepStream Version 6.3
• JetPack Version 5.1.2

I have a question regarding my system’s functionalities which include detecting persons, detecting faces, classification, and tracking.
To expedite the process, especially when dealing with multiple people in the same frame, I employ src-crop to reduce the number of pixels in the frame.
My query is: Does src-crop only reduce the portion of the frame that is visible, or does it also affect the frames that pass through detection and other models?
In other words, will persons outside the cropped frame still be detected?

There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue anymore. Hence we are closing this topic. If need further support, please open a new one. Thanks

You can use the roi ralated paramters for nvdspreprocess like roi-params-src-<id> to control the detection area.
