Is anyone familiar with the auvidea j130 carrier board? I don’t seem to get any /dev/video node on the tx2 while I have t least 2 of them on the tx1 (for 4k and 1080p input). I already tried to apply their firmware patch at [url]https://auvidea.com/firmware/[/url] with no change (Or maybe I failed somewhere). In addition Auvidea doesn’t answer to tickets and my company really wants to get a 4k video project running on the tx2 so any help about the matter would be greatly appreciated !

Just check the firmware you said I think they didn’t get the sensor working yet. It’s better to get help form vendor otherwise you have to make it work by yourself.
Try to cat the /proc/devices-tree/tegra-camera-platform/modules/module*/badge to if it’s imx219
In the cat there is only written vivid_front_instance0

Unfortunately I have to do this myself as the vendor doesn’t seem to be in rush patching this.
I already dived into the DT (base.dts)to activate the tc358840 module by modifying the csi_port (many reported this was the issue) and gpio reset and interrupt pins with no success as I don’t have precise informations on the matter and I’m new to linux driver writing and DT.
I reupdated the dts now I get hdmi2csi_right and hdmi2csi_left for module 0 and 1 (taken from the HDMI2CSI git)
still no video devnode, it is very strange

Hi everyone.
I am giving support to TC358840 on the J130 Auvidea board for TX2 L4T-28.1 kernel-4.4. But, I am having the trouble that I am not able to see the TC358840 in any of the i2c buses.
I have tested with TX1 kernel-3.10 and kernel-4.4, and in both cases I successfully could see the TC358840 on the i2c bus #6 with the address 0x0F and 0x1F:

In the case of the TX2 I have inspect all the i2c buses, but no success in detecting those TC358840 devices.
Does anyone here could detect those devices? What do you do to make the TC358840 visible on the i2c bus?
