Developer driver for GeForce 540m

Hi,

I just had a new laptop with a GeForce 540m 1GB in it. Trying to install the latest developer driver for notebooks gives me:

“NVIDIA Installer cannot continue
This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.”

How is that possible? What can I do?

GeForce 540m probably not supported yet.

Wait for a new developer driver :)

Thank you! I found a solution for it thou.

Shrink a partition, install Ubuntu 11.04, follow Nvidia’s linux guidelines together with provided link and it should work like a charm!
