DGX Spark Login Loop

I bought the Spark on Wednesday and did the initial install sequence. Then I installed OpenJarvis on the Spark. I just verified that it was running. Then I was getting myself familiar with Ubuntu 24 as I haven’t used Ubuntu since version 8. I changed the resolution in the display settings. Then I shut down for the night.

Yesterday after I was finished working, I attempted to start the Spark. That’s when I ran into this issue. I login successfully, the screen goes blank, then my monitor disconnects, and I’m taken back to the login.

I’m glad I’m writing this after a good night sleep, because I 1st had some issues with doing a setup on my work computer. Then I think I’m going to actually start doing some real work on the Spark and I run into this. I was a bit heated yesterday to say the least. I hope someone can help me with this, because I really want to not think I wasted $5000 on this machine.

Have you setup ssh while your first run? If yes then you could attempt ssh in while the machince is in the login screen and run a diagnostic or restore.

I didn’t go through the ssh the 1st time through. I was going to set it up for later use, but didn’t get around to it. Then this happened. I did create a boot drive on a usb stick.

I got it fixed thanks to the Support staff. I had connected a thunderbolt dock to the Spark and it looks like there was some capability issues upon login.
