DGX Spark running hot, cannot update firmware

I purchased a Spark bundle and set up both computers. One is running 10C to 15C hotter on idle and firmware does not update on the hotter Spark. Firmware updates via DGX Dashboard say updating then reboots, but when I log back in to the Dashboard, the same update needs to be installed. Repeated five times with no change.

$ sudo init 3

@lori1 run the firmware upgrade from the command line. Open a terminal and type these:

sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade
sudo fwupdmgr refresh
sudo fwupdmgr upgrade
sudo reboot

OK. The firmware update worked. However, the computer is still too hot with no load.
I purchased two Sparks as a bundle. The image below shows the thermal test for both after sitting idle for around 15 minutes.
