The setup experience on the DGX Spark has been terrible… first, this machine will be a headless machine, and it requires a mouse to set up? But okay, fine, moving on to internet connectivity…
I connected the device with ethernet; however, it is still asking to connect to Wi-Fi (even though from the DHCP server, I can see it has been given an IP address over ethernet). But that won’t work as the only networks there are are hidden (and the GUI doesn’t support hidden networks) or WPA2 enterprise (also not supported!). So ethernet, hidden networks, and WPA2 enterprise are all not supported and the device cannot be setup?
Also, I would expect a device like this to support an alternate terminal (i.e. using Ctrl+Alt+F2) so you could use nmcli or whatever to setup the networking without the massive limitations of the GUI. However, none of those works either.
Also, these issues have been reported since October…
What are the recommended solutions?
Apparently, some tried a cellphone wifi hotspot, but if this thing tries to update immediately (which I wouldn’t put past it), that is going to be bad news for my limited data plan…
