I have filed a bug report describing the problem and I hope, here, an expert or devel could take a look a it - 1500952 – Infiniband - disable a port and you will not be able to bring it back up 1500952 – Infiniband - disable a port and you will not be able to bring it back up - and share an opinion or even better, an advice. Hi Leje,

The Mellanox adapter ConnectX VPI is already EOF (end-of-life) in terms of sale & Mellanox support. So I suggest you overview the advanced ConnectX-3/4/5 adapters that will provide you the required throughput.
