Disk Encryption on Jetson AGX Xavier

Hi there, I have a question regarding the disk encryption on jetson agx xavier.

The passphrase or password is an input string or pattern supplied by the user to set up disk encryption and lock the disk. The same input is used to decrypt and unlock data stored on the disk.

Question: The passphrase that is required to unlock will be entered by the user on every boot? if yes is there any way around that it can be stored in secureboot and Xavier automatically unlock the disk on boot?

hello AbdulWasey,

those keys were fused into devices, and you must always keep the keys by yourself.
please check this tutorial, Jetson Security and Secure Boot. this video gives an overview of security features for the Jetson product family and explains in detailed steps the secure boot process, fusing, and deployment aspects.
thanks
