Distributed vRAN

Hi.
I was told earleir by NVidia engineers Aerial vRAN solution is good for CRAN environment only. I have attended SoftBank presentation in GTC I saw multiple DU an CU at the edge in the presentation. I have attached picture below. From the picture I get a impression we could do Distributed vRAN as well. Can you please confirm if architecture supports?.
