Hello,
I’m not sure if it is the right place to post it, but I really would like to do this course, and I did not manage to start the lab. Every time I try to launch the lab, I receive the following error message:
Launch Error
We were unable to start your GPU task.
Please try again in a moment, or contact support.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Felipe
I am also having the same issue and I cant see any solution to this.
Hi @wambualouis , welcome to the NVIDIA Developer Forums.
I have reached out to the relevant team to help get this sorted for you. Thanks for your patience here.
Sophie
Thank you Soph, it will be wonderful to be able to proceed with the course. Please notify me once the issue is resolved.

Louis.
Hi, We had a problem on our end but this should now be resolved. Please can you try again and let us know how you get on? Thanks!
Working fine. Thank you Soph. I will get back to you incase I encounter another course with the same issue.
Regards,
Louis
Somehow the course titled “Optimized Vehicle Routing” seems not to be available. Could you also check on that please. Thank you.
I’ve reached out to the DLI team to check on this for you. Thanks for your patience @wambualouis
Hi @wambualouis the vehicle routing course is no longer available.
Okay thanks for letting me know.
Hi, I have encountered a serious issue on the same Disaster Monitoring Course, [NGC failed to download pretrained model]
On my second notebook where we are supposed to download resnet18 model with the following command:
download the pre-trained segmentation model from NGC
!ngc registry model download-version nvidia/tao/pretrained_semantic_segmentation:resnet18
–dest $LOCAL_EXPERIMENT_DIR/pretrained_resnet18
It is not downloading anything and rather giving the following error message saying it failed:
{
“download_end”: “2025-01-15 22:11:33.330855”,
“download_start”: “2025-01-15 22:11:32.328877”,
“download_time”: “1s”,
“files_downloaded”: 0,
“local_path”: “/dli/task/tao_project/unet/pretrained_resnet18/pretrained_semantic_segmentation_vresnet18”,
“size_downloaded”: “0 B”,
“status”: “Failed”,
“transfer_id”: “pretrained_semantic_segmentation_vresnet18”
}
Help me proceed from here since the time is ticking and this error may impact my progress. Thank you.
I’ve reached out to the team and will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.
Hi @wambualouis the team has now fixed this issue - thanks! Sophie
