Do I need SLI?

Hi,

I’d like to create a system for scientific computing based on GTX cards. Do I need to have a motherboard which has 4-SLI and do my cards have to be 4-SLI?

What exactly do you mean by 4-SLI?

Does the application you are using / intend to us actually support SLI?

Your cards don’t have to be in SLI to run cuda on both of them. Not sure if that’s what you’re asking though

Yes, I would like to run CUDA on them. Is SLI only important if I render graphics and only desire one output stream?
