Do I need the dev drivers or will any driver after 270 do?

Hi,

So I installed the dev drivers since the download pages etc. sort of implicate that you have to use them. But the 270 drivers don’t support OpenCL 1.1. So I was wondering if “normal” drivers would do as well? Or do i have to decide between CUDA and OpenCL 1.1 development?

I had a similar question. It turns out that newer drives are fine. However, there is one difference to be aware of - the development drivers put the CUDA libraries in /usr/lib(64), and the standard drivers put them in /usr/lib(64)/nvidia.
