Hi ShayNV,
We want to test 10 Gigabit SR-IOV enabled Ethernet endpoint on Hypervisor environment.
For this address translation from Physical to Virtual and vice-versa is required.
On X86 this is supported by VT-d at hardware level and BIOS setting to allow enabling SR-IOV feature.
We wanted to know whether this kind of support is present with your Development Kit. So that we can procure the AGX Dev Kit for testing.
Hi @bharatg,
SR-IOV support for PCIe devices to show themselves as multiple instances requires both HW, FW and OS support. Even in the case of x86, OS needs to be aware of handling the virtual devices properly as there is no PCI configuration allowed. Can you please provide the configuration details of the x86 system for us to analyze?
We need to know the device type, the detailed use-case to comment on feasibility of the functionality. On DRIVE AGX, the PCIe driver in Linux kernel configures the devices. Currently, we only support the PCIe EP devices available on the DRIVE AGX devkit. In case you need to discuss about the use-case for feasibility, please file a bug.
