Does data lookup of primvars work with timeSamples?

I’m following this tutorial: Primitive Variables (Primvars) Overview | NVIDIA On-Demand

At the point where I do the data_lookup of the primvar I can’t read the color because my var in the usd looks like this displayColor.timeSamples

Does the data_lookup in the material builder support timeSamples?
