Does TX2 HDMI output support 1080P@30fps?

Hi,

After below xrander setting, hdmi still output 1080P@50

xrandr --output HDMI-0 --mode 1920x1080 --rate 30.00

How to set HDMI output to 1080P30.

Does your monitor support 30fps?

yes

Prove that with your xrandr result.

Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 32767x 32767
HDMI-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 530mm x 300mm
   1920x1080 60.05*+ 60.00 59.95 50.00 30.00 29.97
   1440x576 52.08 50.08
   1440x480 62.69 60.05
   1280x720 60.00 59.94
   720x576 50.00
   720x480 59.94

What is the result after you run that xrandr command?

and below picture is other HDMI source connected to this monitor.

Hi @WayneWWW
Could you tell me how to forced HDMI output 1080P@30.

What is the xrandr result after you run that xrandr command?

Just answer my question first.

I have already put the answer at post#6.

Are you saying that you see the same result before and after you run the --rate 30.00 command?

defalut HDMI output is 1080P@60
when I set --rate 30.00,I got below xrandr result.

Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1920 x 1080, maximum 32767x 32767
HDMI-0 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 530mm x 300mm
   1920x1080 60.05 60.00 59.95 50.00*+ 30.00 29.97
   1440x576 52.08 50.08
   1440x480 62.69 60.05
   1280x720 60.00 59.94
   720x576 50.00

Are you sure that you set it to 30.00? Your result gives your fps to 50.00.

I am sure.

Could you share your /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

so Im asking for help.

Please attach below log

  1. Xorg.0.log
  2. dmesg

dmesg.txt (76.6 KB)
Xorg.0.log (18.7 KB)

The xorg log says it tries to set fps to 50. Looks weird.

What if you set it to 29.97? Will it work with 29.97?

Which jetpack release are you using?

Also, please add this to your xorg.conf, reboot, change the rate and share the xorg log to me again.

#Add below option in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, ‘Section “Device”’. Verbose mode logging will be shown in /var/log/Xorg.0.log
