Drive 9.0 SATA transfer issue compared to Drive 8.0

Hi,

We noticed an important issue related to the transfer rate on external SSD disks connected to SATA connectors when using DRIVE 9.0, while it was perfectly working on DRIVE 8.0.

Below you have the screenshot for the DRIVE 8.0 version (where it is working as expected).

Below you have the screenshot for the DRIVE 9.0 version (not good).

How we can fix that?

Best,
Sacha

Dear sacha,
This is expected issue. DRIVE SW 8.0 is configured for SATA 3 speed which was changed to SATA 2 in DRIVE SW 9.0. Is this speed critical to you?

Dear SivaRamaKrishna,
Yes, indeed, this speed is critical for us as we are recording lots of sensors, and with the DRIVE SW 9.0 it drops frames.
Is it possible to fix that?

Best,
Sacha

Dear sacha,

Could you provide the bug number if you filed?

Thanks

Hi kayccc,

The bug ID is 2772964.
Thanks.

Hello, we are contemplating whether we should upgrade from Drive Software 8 to 9 or not and we are also recording a lot of sensors.

A speed decrease in scale of SATA3 to SATA2 would be very devastating for us.

Are there any updates on this issue?
Is this issue fixed in Drive Software 10?

Dear fatih.cirit,
DRIVE SW 10 uses the same configuration as DRIVE SW 9.0.

Would it be possible to hear the reasoning behind this decision?
