Driver issue GTX 1050 mobil

Hi,

My laptop does not recognize the GPU. The problem is from the driver but I did not succeed to identify the problem. I think it has arisen as a result of an update but I do not have enough experience. Below some commands that might help you :

nl37@nl37-acer:~$ uname -a
Linux nl37-acer 5.8.0-38-generic #43~20.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jan 12 16:39:47 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

nl37@nl37-acer:~$ nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn’t communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.

nl37@nl37-acer:~$ lspci | grep -i nvidia
01:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP107M [GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile] (rev a1)

Do not hesitate if this information is not consistent enough to the the issue.

Please run nvidia-bug-report.sh as root and attach the resulting nvidia-bug-report.log.gz file to your post.

The 450 driver you’re using is too old. Please switch to v460 in Software&Updates.
