I’ve been trying to set up the drivers for GeForce 2080 (default with Razer Blade Advanced (mid 2019)). The issue is that the GPU is constantly running (even at idle).
When attempting to install proper drivers I’ve done the following troubleshooting.
$ nvidia-smi
NVIDIA-SMI has failed because it couldn’t communicate with the NVIDIA driver. Make sure that the latest NVIDIA driver is installed and running.
$ dkms status
nvidia, 435.21, 5.3.0-28-generic, x86_64: installed (WARNING! Diff between built and installed module!) (WARNING! Diff between built and installed module!) (WARNING! Diff between built and installed module!)
openrazer-driver, 2.7.0, 5.3.0-28-generic, x86_64: installed
I’ve tried to reinstall the drivers multiple times, always ending up at this point. Can you help out?
