The latest compatible driver for your card is 340.64. The 340 branch will be supported until 2019 to stay compatible with future Linux kernel releases and Xorg ABIs and to fix bugs. No features will be added.
The NVIDIA drivers are at OpenGL performance parity with Windows, since 310 anyway. Since then there haven’t been any substantial performance improvements since they are as good as they’ll get.
