Driveworks 5.20 sample_camera doesn't work with multiple cameras on different camera group connectors

Issue Description
Hello,

I am currently updating our camera system stack with the new release of Drive OS 6.0.10. I have compiled the Driveworks sample applications according to the instructions and tried to run them. sample_camera runs well with cameras connected to only one camera group. For example, when 4 cameras are connected to group A with the rig file specifying the setup, it works perfectly. However, when cameras are connected to different groups, the sample_camera fails with the error string specified in the next section. Here, I have the cameras connected on ab-1 and cd-0. I have also verified that each camera group works independently. So this shouldn’t be a connection/hardware issue. I was also able to replicate this error on different Orins. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can provide me with some guidelines and pointers in solving this issue. Thank you!

P.S. Here is the rig file that I used. The cameras that we have are V1SIM728SARU4120NC20.

You can run the application when single camera is connected on port B and notice issue only when both A and B is used? Could you confirm if your camera is working when connected to port B?
Is the issue exists when camera is connected to both A and C/D?

Thank you for your reply. Here are the combinations for sample_camera that I have tried out in terms connection group/groups:

  1. group A only
  2. group B only
  3. group C only
  4. group A and B
  5. group A and C
    Connection to a single group (1, 2, 3) works where as combination connection groups (4, 5) don’t work. As for verification using nvsipl_camera, I have actually tested nvsipl_camera works with all the connection configuration above before posting my issue. I am suspecting it might be a Driveworks issue? Right now, I have flashed all of our units back to 6.0.8. If the application and system log are really needed for debugging this issue, I can flash one of the units to 6.0.10 and get the logs for you! Please let me know! Thank you.
