I was just wondering if there was any easy way for me (the closest ive ever gotten to programming involved about 50 html tags =/) as a total noob to port a program (the gimp for windows…or linux or osx for that matter) to cuda so I can run the intensive filters on my 8800 instead of my athlon 5200?

You really need to understand C programming before trying CUDA.
