Hi, due to current silicon shortage, we cannot buy EFM8SB10F2G-QFN20, but wondering, if the provided binary will also run without hitches in EFM8SB10F2G-QFN20R?

As I understand, the -QFN20R includes a watchdog, while the -QFN20 does not.

To be honest, this seems odd.
As you are the provider of the software/binary, I cannot see, how Silicon Labs can tell if YOUR software will behave differently on those two chip variants.

The question is, will your chip configuration mess up, if the version containing the watchdog function is used instead of the version without it.

EFM8SB10F8G-A-QFN20 is the only component supported as listed in DG, you should check with vendor for compatible thing of EFM8SB10F2G-QFN20R.

yes, this wired. It seems Mouser WEB-site has have wrong information on this product.
Talked to Silicon Labs support, and only difference is packaging.

Never the less, now all variants of packaging out of stock everywhere.

We probably have to switch to the discrete analog power sequencing instead.

That said, you can close this, if you like.
