Elektrobit toolchain access

Hi there,

We would like to start prototyping with Elektrobit toolchain (EB tresos studio) on Safety Controller of our Drive AGX board.

We were wondering what is the best way to get the necessary software tools for it? We reached out to local (German) Elektrobit sales representative and were told that we would need to purchase Evaluation license. To our understanding, NVIDIA has a special licensing agreement where developers on their platform can get access to Elketrobit tooling for free until they move to production.

Is this assumption correct?

Thanks,

B.

Hi bogdan0kg3v,
Could you let me know where you got the information? We can help check internally and then get back to you. Thanks!

Hi vickyy,

We got this information from the Elektrobit (EB) sales representative here in Germany. We were told that they have checked internally with their partnership team and concluded that NVIDIA partners would need to buy licenses for the Elektrobit software components and the EB tresos Studio even for non-production purposes (in their words “Proof of Concept”).

Please let us know what is the exact status for NVIDIA Drive AGX developer members and possibility of using EB toolchain for prototyping purposes without full EB license.

Thanks,

B.

Hi bogdan0kg3v,

You will need to work with a toolchain vendor to develop software for the Aurix MCU. This is not something that NVIDIA provides with the SDK.

Thanks for clarification!
