eMMC P/E cycles and data retention

Hello Support-Team,

we are using TX2, TX2 NX and Xavier NX in our products.
For these we need to know about the P/E cycles and data retention of the eMMC chip assembled on your SoMs.

I hope I haven’t missed anything, but I couldn’t find this information in the forum or the documents available in the download center (I found some PCNs, but these only cover additional eMMC chips).

Can you provide this information?
Alternatively, can you provide a list of eMMC chips that are assembled on above mentioned SoMs?

Thank you.

Hi, we don’t share that. In general, the P/E cycles standard are 100,000 for SLC, 3,000 for MLC and 1000 for TLC. The lifetime of eMMC is calculated based on the real P/E cycles of chip and the standard. The estimated value is stored in register of DEVICE_LIFE_TIME_EST_TYP_A/B in CSD_EXT.
