Enlarge UBO size

AMD’s hardware with new drivers can support uniform buffer objects up to 2 GB.
On NV’s limit is 64K.

The author says that it’s not an architecture trouble. So is there a chance that NV’s drivers will support 2GB UBOs ?

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that if you have/require that much uniform data storage, then you need to re-think whatever you are doing? UBO were not designed to be used as general purpose buffers ( there is nothing stopping you, short of the limitation and the limit was probably imposed under the same line of thinking )…there are other buffers for general purpose use…
