We’re trying to erase the eMMC on the Orin AGX. My first thought was to simply flash the software to an NVME drive and once we’re booted, wipe the eMMC.
However there is a note on the forum that booting from a device other than the eMMC might not be possible:
Boot from external drive Is this still true?
I don’t want to go too far down a rabbit hole by losing sight of the end goal: erase the eMMC.
Hi,
That is for the old platform which does not have QSPI flash on the module.
Orin AGX all put the the bootloader software on the QSPI flash now. So emmc could be put away from the boot flow.
For example, Orin NX even has no emmc on it now.
