Hi all!
I am adding native assets to Isaac on Windows 11 via Neclues Nevigator, after downloading Isaac sim Assets package1-4 (file path (E:\Omniverse Download)) in EXCHANGE. But an error occurred while uploading assets to localhost/Library/NVIDIA: A requested file or directory could not be found at the time an operation was processed;
Additional information: I tried to copy the contents of isaac sim-assets-2-4.2.0, isaac sim-assets-3-4.2.0 and isaac sim-assets-4-4.2.0 into isaac sim-assets-1-4.2.0 and upload them together by uploading the Assets docunment of isaac sim-assets-1-4.2.0. ,but display the error.
Also I tried to re-download isaac-sim-assets-1-4.2.0 and upload it alone, and the same error was displayed, but I could upload the assets of isaac-sim-assets-2-4.2.0, isaac-sim-assets-3-4.2.0 and isaac-sim-assets-4-4.2.0 respectively.
What should I do?
Could you share the screenshot of the issue?
Looks like you have localhost Nucleus installed and probably access to the Internet.
Could you download the assets directly from this folder in the localhost Nucleus?
http://localhost:34080/omniverse://localhost/NVIDIA/Assets/Isaac/4.2/
Thank you sir! I have tried downloading the assets the way you taught, but there still seems to be an error (as shown in the image below)
You can access them through the “Isaac Assets (Beta)” tab in Window-> Browsers → Content, and there is no need to download them.
Thank you, Sir. The issue has been successfully resolved.
Additionally, I attempted to modify the asset path to point to my local asset download directory instead of uploading it to Neclues Navigator, which would have facilitated the loading of the asset in Isaac Sim. And it works eventually!
Thank you for sharing the update on your issue. I’m glad to hear that you’ve successfully resolved the problem.
To help the community and provide a more comprehensive solution, could you please share some additional details about how you resolved the error?
Absolutely, sir!
First, I successfully downloaded the Isaac Sim Assets package 1-4 from the Exchange. ( This kind of download doesn’t seem to be available anymore)
Then, I opened the terminal in the Isaac Sim installation directory.
After that, I entered '.\isaac-sim.bat --/persistent/isaac/asset_root/default=“Your Local Address\Assets\Isaac\4.2”, which allowed me to modify the user.config. json file in my DATA PATH. (This isn’t my first attempt; I found helpful guidance in a CSDN post: https://blog.csdn.net/Vulcan_S/article/details/142418933 )
Once Isaac Sim was launched, you might notice that local resources can be loaded effortlessly.
However, I’m still facing an issue when trying to upload assets to Neclues Navigator (Error: A requested file or directory could not be found at the time an operation was processed). As a result, I decided not to upload it and instead ran it locally.
I’ve uploaded some steps that I hope will help other Isaac lovers who are facing the same problem as me.
