Detailed Description

When I open Isaac-sim from the cmd prompt, I get an error stating: ResourceManager: Failed to create the texture cache.

I get the same error for version 4.5.0.

Have anyone experienced the same error? I will attach the log file.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Any suggestions why this happens?

Her is the log-file.

Please attempt to run Isaac Sim from the terminal using the following command-line arguments:
--clear-cache --clear-data --reset-user

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your efforts in trying to resolve this issue.

I tried to run isaac-sim.bat from terminal followed by your suggestion.

Unfortunately, I get the same type of error.

I have attached to new log-file.

Are there any settings that I could check are set properly? Or?

Hi,

I think this is potentially linked to special character “Ø” in my windows user name.

The program is unable to create the texture cache at:
C:/Users/S├╕ren Ketelsen/AppData/Local/ov/cache/texturecache/_cache.json

However when I try to clear the cache, it is clearly looking for the cache in the path:

“Clearing shader cache… (C:\Users\Søren Ketelsen\AppData\Local\ov\cache\shaders)
Are you sure (Y/[N])?y
The system cannot find the path specified.
Clearing shader cache DONE.”

Is there a way to control where the cache folder are placed?

Søren

Please try manually deleting the path.
