Ethernet Connectivity Issues

Still having the issue, even with the background ping:

It can go hours with no problem.

There are no collisions or errors reported.

Unfortunately, I need eth0 to always be available. I may have to bail on the TX2.

Is this really running on just a 100Mb/s switch? If not, then there is some issue with detecting and negotiating.

Yes, it is a 100Mb/s switch. Is that a problem?

So I tried a different make and model of ethernet switch and the problem doesn’t occur. The problem ethernet switch is a signamax 065-7405AC and this particular TX2 has the problem with every one of the 6 signamax devices that I have laying around (it has been our standard industrial switch). Other TX2s don’t have the problem with the signamax and I’ve never had a problem with any other device being compatible with the signamax before.

So the solution is straightforward enough: avoid using TX2s and 065-7405ACs together. That’s not too big of a hassle especially since the 065-7405AC has hit its end-of-life. Hopefully, this issue won’t occur with other switches.

So I’m good for now.

Hello guys! I have the same issue and I solve this with below command.

sudo ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off

Nice! Thanks for sharing!

Having all kinds of networking issues with wifi, I switched over to ethernet, only to have this issue. I “fixed” it by using a different switch plugged into the original. (Added a linksys between the TX2 and the original netgear switch)

having network connectivity issues on our Jetson TX2, It seems to connect okay using 100Mbps switches but selectively and unreliably connect to 1000Mbps switches and devices.

Wondering if this a known issue with them and if it has been fixed without having to drop the speed down to 100Mbps??
