On further research, I found one vendor using the Express card interface, but they’re not stating whether they ship ATI or nVidia GPUs inside.

The drawback is the limited Express Card bandwidth of at most 2 GB/sec. Giga…bytes…or bit?. I think it must be 250 MBytes/sec corresponding to 1 PCI Express lane.
