External SSD

Hi, We have mounted an external SSD to the dev kit, but nothing we install/download goes to the SSD, are there any possible fixes to this?

We mounted the SSD and renamed the original downloads folder to a different name.

Hi,

Do you want to make external SSD as your rootfs?
Please execute df -h and share result with us.

Thanks

Hi, yes, that’s our goal

df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/mmcblk0p1 57G 53G 1.2G 98% /
tmpfs 31G 120K 31G 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 13G 27M 13G 1% /run
tmpfs 5.0M 4.0K 5.0M 1% /run/lock
/dev/mmcblk0p10 63M 110K 63M 1% /boot/efi
/dev/nvme0n1 916G 7.1G 863G 1% /mnt/storage_ssd
tmpfs 6.2G 120K 6.2G 1% /run/user/1000

Hi,

The method is to reflash your device with NVMe as rootfs.
The sdk manager could provide the option to flash rootfs with NVMe.

Thanks

thank you, we tried to flash the sdk to the ssd but got an installation error. Selected NVME as target, but it seems like NVIDIA runtime and Jetson platform services can’t be installed, so the whole installation fails.

The SSD we´re using is PCIe 4.0 NVME M.2 from Samsung.

There is no update from you for a period, assuming this is not an issue anymore.
Hence, we are closing this topic. If need further support, please open a new one.
Thanks
