Fail over mechanism in Jetpack 5.1.1 on NVME does not work

Hi,

Where can I find some proper documentation to get the OS overlay working on Jetapck 5.1.1 or 5.1.2?
I have not been able to do so far. Any help is appreciated.

Regards,
Farough

What are you talking about with OS overlay?

The last paragraph in this document:
https://docs.nvidia.com/jetson/archives/r36.2/DeveloperGuide/SD/RootFileSystem.html

The goal is to make a read-only overlay root file system that can not be corrupted. The nvidia documentation does not provide enough instructions on how to enable this feature.
The command described in the last paragraph of this document does not work. sudo nv_overlayfs_config --help
It says there is no such command.

This feature is important for our application since people suddenly shut down the Jetson xavier nx module and we need to protect the OS against corruption.

Thanks,
Farough

Please refer to the nv_overlayfs_config script itself on a 36.2 BSP to see how it’s implemented.
