I installed Ubuntu 22.04.1 on an HPE Apollo 6500 Plus Gen 10 for a customer along with CUDA 1.8 and I’m unable to run nvidia-smi. It results in the error “ failed to initialize nvml unknown error”. I was able to recreate this same configuration on my home lab (same OS, cuda version) just with different hardware and it works fine.
Any idea why it fails on the hpe server but works on other systems?
