Fan Profile Change

Hi Team,

We are using a custom board based on the Jetson Orin NX module, running JetPack 6.2, which includes Jetson Linux 36.4.3 (Kernel 5.15) and an Ubuntu 22.04 root file system.

We would like to change the default fan profile from “quiet” to a custom profile to better suit our specific use case.
Could you please advise on how this can be achieved?

Additionally we tried to change the default fan profile, using the steps mentioned in Jetson Orin Nano Series, Jetson Orin NX Series and Jetson AGX Orin Series — Jetson Linux Developer Guide documentation

but it wont effect

Hi,

Please refer to below topics to check whether meet your requirement.

Thanks

Hi David,

I tried the changes you suggested, and they are working—thank you!

However, our requirement is to create a custom fan profile based on temperature values. During load testing, we observed thermal throttling, and to prevent this, we need to implement a temperature-dependent fan control profile.

Could you please advise on how this can be achieved?
I’ve attached the fan assembly details below for your reference.

Hi,

Does Jetson Orin Nano Series, Jetson Orin NX Series and Jetson AGX Orin Series — NVIDIA Jetson Linux Developer Guide not work for custom temperature?

Thanks
