Flash failure: waiting for device to expose ssh ... timeout

Hi, everyone.

I was trying to flash jetpack 5.1.4 to the sdcard on the official jetson orin nano development kit(model p3766) through my ubuntu 20 laptop. However, it gave me the samewaiting for device to expose ssh timeout error no matter I used the sdkmanager or the command line.

The command line I used is : sudo ./tools/kernel_flash/l4t_initrd_flash.sh --external-device mmcblk1p1 -c tools/kernel_flash/flash_l4t_external.xml -p "-c bootloader/t186ref/cfg/flash_t234_qspi.xml" --showlogs --network usb0 jetson-orin-nano-devkit internal

I guess it is because the laptop cannot find the usb0 network for the ssh, but I am not experts. So hope someone expert can help me.

The related log file and images will be attached. For more information, feel free to leave a comment. I will reply ASAP.

Thanks.

Hi,

One question to confirm:
Is your ubuntu a native or a virtual machine/wsl/container ?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. It’s a native Ubuntu on my laptop.

I have fixed the issue by reinstalling my Ubuntu 20 system.
