Flash JetPack 7.2 into Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit microSD card issue

Hi all,

I currently have three Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kits. I followed the Quick Start Guide to install the system:

I downloaded Jetson r39.2, created a Jetson ISO USB installer, upgraded the QSPI firmware, and used the USB device to flash a 64GB microSD card.

However, only one device was installed successfully. The other two devices have issues. Basically, the installation process goes to the end successfully, but on the two failed devices, I cannot see the Ubuntu setup pages after reboot.

By the way, the QSPI firmware has been upgraded as mentioned in the guide.

After reboot, in the Boot Manager, I can see the SD card. After I select it, the screen turns black, and after 1–2 seconds it returns to the Boot Manager. I retried the installation process several times, but the issue remains.

I also selected the UEFI Shell, and the information shown there is different between the successfully installed device and the failed devices, as shown below. I am not sure what this means.

I tried the suggested workaround, but the issue still persists.

In my case, the display does not show a noise screen. After selecting the SD card in Boot Manager, the screen turns black for about 1–2 seconds and then returns to Boot Manager. I still cannot reach the Ubuntu setup page.

This issue happens on two Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kits, while the same ISO USB installer and the same installation steps work successfully on another identical kit.

Could you please confirm whether this looks like a bootloader / EFI / QSPI / SD boot issue rather than a display issue?

I will try reflashing through an Ubuntu host as suggested. Before doing that, could you please confirm the recommended flashing command for Jetson Orin Nano Developer Kit with Jetson Linux r39.2 / JetPack 7.2?

Also, is there any log from the UEFI Shell or serial console that you would like me to collect before reflashing?

Under Force Recovery Mode, reflash SD card, issue solved.
