FLASHING JETPACK 5.1.1 to new AGX ORIN DEVELOPER KIT

Hi,

We have agx orin developer kit 64 gb. We tried to flash jetpack 5.1.1 over linux terminal. Unfortunately, we could not do it. Flash ended with this below

    We have applied a patch in p3701.conf.common. Still we are facing this difficulty. We are using below command to flash.

    sudo ./nvsdkmanager_flash.sh --storage nvme0n1p1

    We tried this same command and flashed the jetpack 6. Is there any other way to flash.

Hi Karthick,

Since you mentioned that the same command successfully flashed JetPack 6, is there a specific reason you need to use JetPack 5.1.1, such as a dependency on a third-party driver or application?

If there is no strict JetPack 5.1.1 dependency, we recommend using JetPack 6.

If JetPack 5.1.1 is required, please verify that the patch was applied in both places. From the Linux_for_Tegra directory, run:

grep -n "update_local_cfgfile" p3701.conf.common flash.sh

The output should show:

  1. The update_local_cfgfile() function definition in p3701.conf.common.
  2. A call to the function in flash.sh after localcfgfile is generated:
update_local_cfgfile "${localcfgfile}"

If the call in flash.sh is missing, add it after localcfgfile is generated, and then retry your current flashing command.

Please also confirm that you applied the complete PCN210100 overlay for Jetson Linux R35.3.1 from the Jetson PCN Center, rather than only modifying p3701.conf.common.

Please share why JetPack 5.1.1 is required and the output of the grep command above.
