Hi,

Could you please describe feauters of Floating license?

Does it works in the same way for Windows and Linux?

I need to use PGI compiler on several servers, Windows and Linux. Is it possible to buy and install the Floating license wich will be available from Win and Lin machines and wich will allow to use compilers on them? Like running license server daemon on unique remote machine and invoking compiler from any server with license client demon?

A floating license allows you to the install the compilers on any number of systems (on a single network) to be used by any number of users. The only limited by the number of simultaneous uses of the compilers and tools.

Does it works in the same way for Windows and Linux?

Yes and they can be mixed. You would have one system be your license server with the other s having to “check-out” a license each time a compiler or tool is used.
