To Be honest I delete the program from my machine if you find for me solution I will download it again and set it up. thank you for your support.

Hi @eentertec !

Probably would be great if you can install Create again and send the session log to them, you can do it with this method:

With multiple logs they can find the issue more easily.

Thank you for your kind reply, but I remove the software from my PC, I tried hard to find a solution And I didn’t succeed.

Hello @Richard_3D @NV_JohnnyCostello !

I tried to open Create with the new NVIDIA Drivers 526.98 and still not working unfortunately, here is the log:

kit_20221116_194434_driver_526.98.log (958.0 KB)

I hope that you can find something, thanks!

And just to be clear, this is still working with ONE video card right ? Just not TWO ?

Yes it can start with only one gpu:

kit_20221116_200831_drivers_526.98_single gpu.log (1013.5 KB)

kit_20221117_151533.log (870.8 KB)

Thanks, I’ve attached this to our internal ticket tracking this issue.

@eentertec This seems to be an unrelated issue. Unfortunately, your Quadro P6000 does not have any RT cores and does not support raytracing, so you will only be able to use Iray, Storm, or other non-RTX renderers (see the console/log message). Hope that helps.

so I cant use creat? so what i can use in this case?

Hi eentertec,
Unfortunately, it seems you are using a p6000, which is a very powerful but older card. This card is NON RTX, so while you can install Create and use the Pixar Storm render delegate, you cannot get the full benefit of Create using the built in RTX render engines.

Hello!

I’m wondering if you found something about this?

Thanks!

Thanks cdordelly,
I have asked the developers for a summary update on the ticket. In the meantime, have you upgraded your drivers to the latest GEFORCE drivers ? 527.56 ?

Also just a tip, but if you disable one of your cards again in the DEVICE MANAGER, make sure it is the SECOND one listed, not the first. The first is your primary card.

Something else to try is going to your "C:\users*USER* \AppData\Local\ov" folder and just DELETE both the “Cache” and the “Data” folder. Then try restarting. You will need to make sure you are completely out of all OV apps and platforms to do this. Quit the launcher and the launcher listener and monitor.

Hi cdordelly,
Unfortunately, your failure is a very rare case that we do not have enough information to be able to reproduce it.

This seems to be an unknown issue, specific to your system setup, which NVAPI is failing for your secondary GPU. We are working with the NVAPI team to identify any potential system issue that may cause this behavior, but there are no further details at this time without being able to reproduce it.

In the meantime, some of the potential cases you may investigate on your side:

  • Your second GPU is potentially installed on a non-recommended PCI slot on your motherboard?
  • Bios is set to “auto” for PCI Gen and the right PCI Gen is not being picked automatically, or even Insufficient power.
  • You may have some incompatible tools, such as a separate CUDA SDK, Optix SDK, etc. installed by other apps.

Hello,

Sorry for the late reponse on this, Create now is working here on my machine finally :). I updated the drivers to 528.02 (527.56 didn’t work either) and I also switched the position of the video cards, I guess that the drivers solved this but I should roll back to older drivers to confirm this just to discard that the fix was the card switch.

Here are the respective log files:

527.56:
kit_20221221_142706_OV Public 2022.3.1_Drivers 527.56.log (915.8 KB)

kit_20221221_142706_OV Public 2022.3.1_Drivers 527.56_after clean AppData.log (951.7 KB)

528.02:
kit_20230117_143424_Driver_528.log (996.9 KB)

Here are the pending answers:

  • Your second GPU is potentially installed on a non-recommended PCI slot on your motherboard?

– This is the model of my motherboard: Asus Rog Strix X570 E, AFAIK, the both PCIs for the GPUs have the same speed, because I don’t use the third PCI.

  • Bios is set to “auto” for PCI Gen and the right PCI Gen is not being picked automatically, or even Insufficient power.

– I forgot to check this, I’ll try to do it this week.

  • You may have some incompatible tools, such as a separate CUDA SDK, Optix SDK, etc. installed by other apps.

– I’m not sure about this, I think that the only GPU / CUDA related app installed on my machine are from 3D softwares like Cinema 4D, Houdini, Blender, Redshift, Davinci Resolve and After Effects.

BTW, Create is working but it looks like it starts only with one GPU an some warnings:

kit_20230123_194143_Fresh Start - Appears only one gpu.log (991.3 KB)

But if I open one of the sample files, both GPUs starts to render:

kit_20230123_194143_multi gpu after open one sample file.log (1.0 MB)

Hi there,
This is normal behavior. The RTX Real-Time mode by default only uses one gpu (primary) unless there is extremely high demand, like running it at 4k and above. The next level down, the RTX Interactive, is a full path tracer, so it is much more demanding. Switching to this, kicks in the second and all available gpus. So your screen shots are normal. Realtime, 1 gpu, Interactive and Accurate, 2 gpus
