On Intel Graphics systems I usually use:
in the kernel commandline to set the refresh rate to 50Hz. I do this because
otherwise switching from X (50Hz) to console (60Hz default, CTRL+ALT+F1) all of
my monitors take a break to switch to the new resolution and that takes ~5 seconds
each time and this is very annoying if you need to switch very often between X and console.
If console matches 50Hz (in my case) at boot I can instantly switch between X and console.
Is there such a way for NVIDIA cards to do that?
as a side note:
Nvidia GTX 1070, pure UEFI, gentoo linux, kernel 4.9.1, nvidia-drivers-375.26
